Has anyone ever told you that you have an ability to weave poetry in your words? You could write whole pages of description and I would happily read through them slowly, savoring each line.

That is why I think you must be teasing me, imparting such longing when you're the most diligent person I may have ever met.

It has been said that Horsepeople speak only in melodies. My predecessor, Ignace, referred to it as "the sway of grass in a rainstorm."
With neither paper nor a written language and an abundance of time, we have little else to do but to reflect and compose verses in our minds and share them with others.

I don't disagree, darling. I suppose now is the time for me to confess that patience is hardly one of my virtues and I am restless by nature. Nothing would make me happier than being out and about, and the thought of exploring countrysides unknown have me longing to be there rather than here.

If I may be honest, King Amboise's autobiography hardly tempers that desire. A small consolation is that I've nearly reached the end.

Such an answer is hardly indicative of one's worthiness for power.
